Cancellation Policy
At Sailing Chef, we believe in full transparency, which means no hidden costs or strings attached. However, we understand that unexpected situations can arise, making it impossible for you to travel. We want to protect both you and us in such exceptional cases. That's why we have created a simple cancellation policy that ensures transparency and fairness for everyone involved.

Cancellation by the Traveler
If the traveler cancels the agreement, the tour operator will charge a cancellation fee according to the following schedule:
-
Cancellation up to 90 calendar days before departure: No charge, and the down payment will be fully refunded, except for the one-time Guarantee Fund contribution.
-
Cancellation between 90 and 60 calendar days (inclusive) before the day of departure: A cancellation fee of 25% of the travel sum will be charged.
-
Cancellation between 60 and 45 calendar days (inclusive) before the day of departure: A cancellation fee of 50% of the travel sum will be charged.
-
Cancellation between 45 and 21 calendar days (inclusive) before the day of departure: A cancellation fee of 75% of the travel sum will be charged.
-
Cancellation 21 calendar days or less (inclusive) before the day of departure: The total travel sum will be charged as a cancellation fee.
Cancellation by the tour operator
-
The tour operator reserves the right to cancel the agreement due to compelling circumstances.
-
Compelling circumstances refer to circumstances of such a nature that the tour operator cannot reasonably be expected to continue with the agreement.
-
A noteworthy circumstance for the tour operator is the issuance of "no essential travel advice" by the government for that area before the date of departure.
-
If less than five travelers (excluding crew) participate, the tour operator can decide not to depart. In that case, the travelers are entitled to a full refund of the travel sum paid at that moment.
