Discover the stunning destination where the Mediterranean and Aegean seas converge and the Turkish Riviera and Greek Islands meet. Our sailing waters are calm, and the climate is perfect, with warm seawater temperatures from April to November, making it an ideal sailing destination.
Starting your Blue Cruise journey is easy, with departures from Datca, Bodrum, Marmaris, or Fethiye, all conveniently located near major airports. Whether you arrive from Dalaman, Bodrum, Rhodes, or Kos airports, your departure harbor is just a short drive or ferry ride away.
As a guest of Sailing Chef departing from our home port of Datca, you will enjoy exclusive benefits, including access to our partner hotel's grounds on your arrival or departure day, to make your journey even more enjoyable.
Stunning sailing area
Sailing Chef cruises the Turkish Riviera and the Greek Dodecanese Islands. Apart from being one of the most beautiful sailing areas globally, it guarantees the smoothest sailing conditions.
Smooth sailing conditions are essential to ensure you enjoy your blue voyage to the fullest. Datça Liman, our main departure harbor, is situated in the southwest part of the Datça peninsula, where the Mediterranean and Aegean seas meet. This makes Datça ideal for sailing the south and the north side, ensuring winds that are favorable and a calm sea.
The climate is perfect as it is mild and never too hot. The best time for sailing is from April until November when the sea is still warm.
When you start your Blue Voyage from Datça or Marmaris, the nearest airport is the modern and convenient Dalaman (DLM) airport. Many airlines fly direct to Dalaman airport, including Turkish Airlines, Jet2, Easyjet, Corendon, and British Airways. We are happy to arrange your transport to your departure harbour from there.
Bodrum - Rhodes - Kos
Besides Dalaman, you can also choose to fly to Kos, Rhodes, or Bodrum and plan an extended vacation around your Sailing Chef gulet cruise.
You can rent a car from these airports, take a taxi, or a short ferry to your harbour of departure.
Please contact us, and we are happy to help with any of your questions.
You can embark from the harbours of Datça, Marmaris, and Bodrum. So, wherever you embark, there's always an airport or ferry near your harbour.
Datça - ideally situated
We recommend making Datça your harbour of choice. Its location near the edge of the peninsula gives you access to the best scenery and ports. And you can sail the south and north side of the peninsula, guaranteeing the smoothest sailing waters.
It is easy to extend your cruise with a stay on one of the Greek islands, visit the cosmopolitan city of Bodrum or explore the gorgeous Datça peninsula.
The peninsula is a picturesque oasis where the Aegean and the Mediterranean Sea meet. The atmosphere is southern European, and the people are welcoming and friendly. The ancient Greeks believed that Datça was personally created by Zeus, so beautiful are the rocky outcrops and aquamarine-coloured waters.
Easy and comfortable transport to and from your departure harbour or hotel is always available.

One dinner in your arrival port city. On Friday evening, we will arrive at your port of arrival. Each port has a unique local atmosphere and many excellent restaurants. Your crew will happily help you find the restaurant of your liking.
* Why do you operate your own guarantee fund? We understand your question, and the reason is simple. We aim to give you a unique and carefree experience. That is why we have taken out special insurance that pays out faster than a guarantee fund and has a limited risk of going bankrupt, like traditional guarantee funds. In short, better guarantees and less risk for you. For example, this enabled us to satisfy 100% of our guests during the COVID-19 pandemic without lengthy procedures.
At Sailing Chef, we believe in full transparency, which means no hidden costs or strings attached. However, we understand that unexpected situations can arise, making it impossible for you to travel. We want to protect both you and us in such exceptional cases. That's why we have created a simple cancellation policy that ensures transparency and fairness for everyone involved.
Cancellation by the Traveler
If the traveler cancels the agreement, the tour operator will charge a cancellation fee according to the following schedule:

Cancellation between 90 and 60 calendar days (inclusive) before the day of departure: A cancellation fee of 25% of the travel sum will be charged.

Cancellation by the tour operator
The tour operator reserves the right to cancel the agreement due to compelling circumstances.
Compelling circumstances refer to circumstances of such a nature that the tour operator cannot reasonably be expected to continue with the agreement.
A noteworthy circumstance for the tour operator is the issuance of "no essential travel advice" by the government for that area before the date of departure.
If less than five travelers (excluding crew) participate, the tour operator can decide not to depart. In that case, the travelers are entitled to a full refund of the travel sum paid at that moment.
